César Vargas

César Vargas was born and raised in the Dominican Republic and came to the U.S. when he was thirteen years old. He received a B.A. in Film Studies from Queens College, CUNY and has worked in the fashion and film industry. He is the founder of UPLIFTT (United People for Latinos in Film TV and Theater). He's a producer, writer, and director. He's also a published columnist (Fox News, Huffington Post, NBC, among others). As a poet and social media autodidact, he's exceedingly knowledgeable in pop culture, human behavior, and social issues. His colleagues have deemed him an anomaly for being extremely insightful in various fields despite coming from humble beginnings.
